Be a Leader in Healthcare

In this program, we hold the following to be an unequivocal truth: we’re all created by God. When you’re an individual undergoing treatment in a healthcare facility – whether it’s acute, community, or long-term – it means you should be treated with utmost care and dignity. That’s your role as a healthcare administrator/manager. To help uphold the dignity of each of your patients while providing the highest level of quality care. It will also teach you how to be an effective healthcare administrator/manager, how to evaluate research results applicable to a healthcare practice, and how to demonstrate effective communication – in writing and presentations.

Program Overview

Our Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration is founded on one fundamental truth: we’re all created by God. When an individual undergoes treatment in a healthcare facility—whether it’s acute, community, or long-term—they should be treated with care and dignity. That’s why it’s your job, as a healthcare administrator, to uphold the dignity of each of your patients while providing the highest quality care possible.

A healthcare administration degree from Concordia will prepare you for various roles managing a department or a healthcare facility. It will also equip you with the ability to create a reflective self-plan for personal and professional growth. You’ll discover the ability to recognize and analyze current trends and issues related to healthcare management, which will help you grow throughout your career.

What to Expect

If you’re interested in healthcare, but not necessarily direct patient care, this may be the degree for you. Through Concordia’s healthcare administration courses, you will be exposed to business management, finance, human resources, marketing, and more. In addition, you will learn to evaluate research results applicable to a healthcare practice and how to demonstrate effective communication both in writing and presentation.

Consider adding a bachelor's degree in public health which will give you the skills and understanding to help protect and promote the health of the general population through prevention and health equity. Knowledge in public health will enhance your abilities to serve in healthcare administration.
