Learn to care for patients in mind, body, and spirit with Concordia’s Bachelor in Exercise Physiology. With a curriculum blending a strong liberal arts foundation and STEM courses to teach the technical skills, you will be prepared as a well-rounded graduate. Dive into topics such as biomechanics, kinesiology, sports nutrition, and more.
Throughout the program’s length, you will be prepared through extensive hands-on learning opportunities, internship opportunities, and faculty guidance. With small class sizes, our experienced faculty will work one-on-one with you to ensure that you learn the skills needed to set you apart in the workforce after graduation.
Our exercise science labs are equipped with the latest technology to measure and analyze biomechanics, cardiovascular function, muscular strength, and metabolic responses to exercise.
You will gain hands-on experience with tools such as metabolic carts, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and body composition analyzers, preparing you for real-world clinical and performance environments.
In the exercise physiology program, you will learn to assess cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and pulmonary responses. You will learn to apply the skills taught in the classroom and laboratory to the real world through internships. Internship opportunies can inlcude settings such as hosptials, clinics, sports facilities, and more.
With this collective knowledge, you will graduate well-prepared to sit for the nationally recognized certification exams offered through the American College of Sports Medicine, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Once you graduate with an exercise physiology degree, you can enter the workforce or pursue graduate studies.

After graduating from the bachelor's program, you are automatically eligible for alumni scholarships. As an alumni, you can save up to $500 per credit on your graduate degree!
International admissions
International students on an F-1 visa may be eligible for an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension for up to 36 months. This program qualifies as a STEM field, allowing students to extend their stay in the U.S. to gain valuable work experience and further develop their skills after graduation. The OPT extension can enable international students to enhance their expertise in exercise physiology and broaden their career prospects. Please note that the OPT extension applies only to students on an F-1 visa.
